Join us in nurturing the next generation of foresters.
At NextGenForesters, we are dedicated to preparing young individuals for successful careers in forestry. Our mission is to connect underserved students with vital resources and opportunities that pave the way for their future in this essential industry.
The Forest Management Scholarship is a partnership between the Neshoba Youth Coalition, the Dick Molpus Foundation, and Mississippi State University, created to provide tuition support, mentorship and career opportunities, for students interested in studying Forest Management.
Forestry is one of Mississippi’s largest industries, with careers ranging from forest managers and conservationists to environmental scientists and timber specialists. The field offers excellent salaries, job stability, and opportunities to work both outdoors and in leadership roles.
Forest management is about more than trees—it’s about protecting our environment, supporting local economies, and ensuring communities have the resources they need for generations to come. Students who choose this path make a lasting difference in both their communities and the planet.
With tuition support, mentorship, and career pathways, the Forest Management Scholarship connects students to a high-demand field where minorities and first-generation students are needed and valued. This is not just an education—it’s a launchpad for lifelong success.
